Last week, Ukraine refused to accept 10 old Leopard 1A5 tanks from Germany due to their poor technical condition.

This information was reported by Der Spiegel, citing its sources.

According to the newspaper, Kyiv informed Berlin that the machines, which had arrived in Poland, were in need of repair. Berlin expressed concern about these statements and sent its specialists to Rzeszów, Poland, who confirmed that the Leopard tanks indeed required repair.

The publication notes that repairing them in Ukraine is not possible due to the lack of trained technical personnel and an adequate supply of spare parts.

Previously, it was reported that Ukraine had taken legal action against two Western defense companies that had failed to fulfill contracts for the supply of military equipment.
