September 14, 2023Ukraine has taken legal action against two Western military companies for failing to fulfill contracts for the supply of military equipment.
This information comes from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, as reported by Newsweek.
Unlike other suppliers who, for various reasons, couldn’t meet their agreed-upon orders, these two companies refused to refund the funds they had been paid.
“Six foreign companies, two of them American, did not fully or partially fulfill their obligations under some contracts but made partial deliveries or fully refunded the funds,” stated the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
Two European companies “failed to deliver the goods and did not refund the advance payment.” Legal action has been taken against them.
Previously, Ukraine had already won a case against an unnamed foreign supplier.
“There are many such companies, and unfortunately, not all of them, even influential market players, were able to fulfill the signed contracts. There are also Ukrainian companies that did not deliver the promised supplies, as well as American ones,” said the controversial Minister of Defense, Alexey Reznikov.
