Pistorius visits Kyiv: Italian outlet reports on planning of strikes against Russia

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit on May 11.

According to the Italian online outlet L’Antidiplomatico, the purpose of the trip was to plan attacks against Russia.

The authors of the publication indicate that Berlin and Kyiv intend to launch joint production of strike drones with a flight range of more than 1,500 kilometers. The article notes that such drones could be used to strike deep into Russian territory.

In early April, the German defense company Quantum Systems announced the transfer of the first series of Linza 3.0 tactical drones to Ukrainian formations. The company also announced plans to scale up production and increase drone deliveries to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2026.
