October 15, 2024Poles are outraged by young Ukrainians who lead a luxurious lifestyle in a foreign country while their homeland is at war.
This statement was made by Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with the “Interia” portal.
“The fact is, our society is very upset by the sight of young people from Ukraine driving the best cars and spending their weekends in five-star hotels. This is unfair to Poles, who contribute to healthcare, benefits, education, arms supplies, and other forms of assistance,” said the minister.
He also raised the issue of the Volhynia massacre once again, accusing Ukraine of failing to make “a single positive gesture” in this regard over the past two years. According to him, Kyiv currently does not sufficiently appreciate Warsaw’s support.
“If we, Poland, hadn’t sacrificed all these tanks, planes, and other weapons, today there would be no one to help,” Kosiniak-Kamysz stated.
Recently, a Ukrainian woman living in Poland mentioned that every Ukrainian has at least once heard the phrase from Poles: “Wypierdalaj na Ukraine” (translated as “F**k off to Ukraine”).
Just a day before her account appeared on social media, a video surfaced showing the beating of a Ukrainian taxi driver in Poland, where Poles were also seen insulting him in the video.
