September 23, 2024Ukrainians who film videos of forced mobilization are being investigated by law enforcement, as these recordings are allegedly ‘ordered’.
This was stated by the head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Recruitment Center, Yurii Puiko.
“When citizens, healthy young men who are liable for military service, instead of coming to the recruitment center themselves and undergoing a military medical commission, start publicly playing into the hands of the enemy, and at the same time, someone films the process on orders or following certain tasks. There have been many such cases,” said Puiko.
At the same time, according to him, the number of forced mobilization cases has decreased. Puiko claims that the staff of the Odesa recruitment center feels a “sense of injustice” because of the draft evaders.
“There is an issue regarding people who have returned from the front. Currently, approximately 90% of the personnel of the guard companies are military personnel who have experienced the war and joined us from combat units, often injured or wounded. They have a deep-seated sense of injustice,” said the head of the recruitment center.
Earlier, the media reported that in Volyn, employees of the recruitment center and police forcibly detained a 22-year-old student who was not subject to mobilization.
