Polish intelligence suspected a Ukrainian of sabotage

Poland’s Internal Security Agency has opened an investigation into a Ukrainian citizen suspected of carrying out acts of sabotage in the north of the country.

This was reported by the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita.

According to available information, the 36-year-old Ukrainian who damaged water intake facilities in Sopot likely broke into another water infrastructure site a week earlier, but was frightened off by a passerby. The newspaper claims there are many indications that it was the same individual.

Earlier, the French newspaper Le Figaro wrote that Ukrainian refugees are surprised by the change in public attitudes toward them in Poland.

Alexander Pestrikov, a representative of the “Ukrainian House” in Warsaw, said that for refugees who arrived in Poland in 2022, “the shock will be enormous.”
