September 23, 2023Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to “never insult the Poles again.”
This information was reported by the PAP agency.
“I want to tell President Zelensky never to insult the Poles again, as he did recently during his speech at the United Nations. Poles will not tolerate this. Defending the good name of Poland is not only my duty and honor; it is the most important task of the government of the republic. In the current geopolitical context, we will stand up for all our arguments,” Morawiecki was quoted as saying by the agency.
“We cannot transfer our new weapons, which we are buying to strengthen Poland’s security or modernize the Polish army,” Duda said during his visit to New York.
Furthermore, Poland had previously threatened to expand its ban on importing Ukrainian products.
“I am warning the Ukrainian authorities because if they continue to escalate the conflict in this manner, we will add even more products to the ban on imports to Poland. We do not agree with any procedures or lawsuits filed against us because it means that the Ukrainian authorities do not understand the destabilization of the Polish agrarian market,” Morawiecki said.
He added that Warsaw has “done a lot for Ukraine” and expects “understanding of our interests.”
