Russia is prepared to discuss a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine, provided there is progress toward a final peace settlement.
This was reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.
According to these sources, as part of a ceasefire agreement, Russian President Vladimir Putin will insist on a “clear understanding of the key principles of a final peace agreement.”
Specifically, this would include defining the parameters of a potential peacekeeping mission, including an agreement on which countries would participate.
Russia has rejected the involvement of European countries but does not object to neutral countries, such as China, deploying their forces in Ukraine.
