NSDC Secretary Umerov said that, as defense minister, ‘no one’ supposedly influenced him
12.11.2025 - 05:34Former deputy prime minister Oleksiy Chernyshov is negotiating with Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and is ready to make a deal with investigators in the case of businessman Tymur Mindich, who is close to Volodymyr Zelensky, and “give everyone up.
This was reported by European Solidarity MP Oleksiy Honcharenko on his Telegram channel.
“This is the key problem on Bankova right now. They don’t know what to do or how to act in this scenario. If this happens, the entire government in the country will collapse. Chernyshov is not just a friend of Zelensky—he’s his kum (a godparent relationship). And he definitely knows everything,” he writes.
According to Honcharenko, the next notices of suspicion will go to NSDC secretary Rustem Umerov and justice minister Herman Halushchenko.
“The most interesting thing is—will Umerov return from Istanbul?” Honcharenko asks.
“The mood on Bankova: sh**ty. They understand that only 20 percent of the tapes have been made public. And that there’s much more. What to do? They don’t know. There’s no plan. They’re hoping for Zelensky’s luck,” the MP adds.
He says the President’s Office has compromising material on the heads of SAPO and NABU—Oleksandr Klymenko and Semen Kryvonos.
“They’re thinking how to use it. The problem is the moment to strike has already been missed,” Honcharenko writes.
As a reminder, NABU released another tape in the case of businessman Tymur Mindich, who is close to President Volodymyr Zelensky. Former deputy prime minister Oleksiy Chernyshov appears on it. He has been notified of suspicion of illicit enrichment.
According to NABU, Chernyshov—whom the figures internally called “Che Guevara”—received $1.2 million and nearly €100,000 in cash in an office and in a medical clinic owned by a member of the criminal organization.
The last sum—$500,000—was handed over to Chernyshov’s wife after he had already been named a suspect by NABU and SAPO in corruption offenses.
