February 15, 2025Russian forces are close to cutting off the “Andreyevsky pocket” near Kurakhovo in the Donetsk region.
This is evidenced by a map from the Ukrainian military monitoring group Deep State.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have advanced near Dachnoye and Zelenovka, approaching the Zaporizhzhia highway from the latter, effectively splitting the potential “pocket” west of Kurakhovo.
A Ukrainian serviceman with the call sign “Muchnoy” reported that after the loss of Dachnoye, Ukrainian forces near Kurakhovo were on the verge of encirclement.
“Right now, the fighting is gradually moving into the southern parts of Ulakly and Konstantinopol. The enemy can encircle our units at any moment; it all depends on when the order is given to do so and to increase pressure on our positions,” he wrote.
Earlier, Ukrainian war correspondent Bohdan Miroshnikov confirmed that Ukrainian forces had lost control of the village of Dachnoye.
