Russian “Geran” drones with online control cover a third of Ukraine

Russian strike drones “Geran,” operated in real time, are capable of hitting targets in most regional centers on the Left Bank, as well as in Kyiv and Odessa.

A map of the potential attack zone was published by former defense ministry adviser Sergei Beskrestnov on his Telegram channel.

According to Beskrestnov, within the range of such drones, Russian operators can strike small targets, including moving ones. Kyiv, Poltava, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Odessa fall fully or partially within this zone, as do Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv, which are located closer to the front line.

Beskrestnov explained that the control range of such drones is currently limited by the characteristics of the technology being used. In connection with the threat of such attacks, he urged warehouse owners, gas station operators, and business owners to account for possible strikes, monitor air raid alerts, and equip shelters for employees.

Previously, Beskrestnov reported that “Geran” drones are increasingly moving away from the tactic of massed attacks and are instead carrying out single strikes in manual control mode, attempting to evade Ukrainian detection systems.
