‘Sporting Interest’: Military recruiters compete to see who can issue the most summonses and ‘ticket’ drivers with more expensive cars

Employees of the territorial recruitment centers discuss among themselves after working hours who handed out the most draft notices to men.

This was revealed by a military commissar in an interview from the series “10 Stupid Questions” by blogger Sergey Miroshnichenko, who did not disclose his identity.

According to the employee of the territorial recruitment center, such discussions are a “sporting interest among their own.” He assured that military commissars do not have an official plan for handing out draft notices.

Additionally, the military commissar mentioned that employees of the territorial recruitment centers compete with each other to see who can serve a draft notice to the driver of the most expensive car. He stated that a Tesla is “already a passed option.” He himself served a notice to a driver of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class. A special achievement for the territorial recruitment centers is to serve a draft notice to the driver of a Mercedes-Benz G-Class, also known as a Geländewagen.

Earlier, the territorial recruitment center acknowledged that they could forcibly detain a conscript under two conditions: if the person is wanted for violating military registration rules and if representatives of the police are part of the group.

Journalists have repeatedly reported on the harsh methods of mobilization used by the commissars. For instance, in the Odessa region, employees of the territorial recruitment center detained and took a man to the military commissariat in front of his two children, while threatening and demonstrating aggression.
