07.11.2024 - 12:42The Deputy Head of the Central Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) has been detained on suspicion of corruption involving draft evasion.
This information reported according to the National Police of Ukraine.
Investigators allege that, for a fee of $2,000, the woman falsified documents to grant clients a second-degree disability status. She reportedly assured her clients that she had extensive experience in “handling such matters.”

During searches, authorities seized approximately $20,000, documents related to disability registrations, medical records, personal files, and other evidence from her possession.
It appears that this case involves the main Medical and Social Expert Commission under the Ministry of Health. The woman has been charged and faces up to eight years in prison, along with confiscation of her assets.
This comes amid ongoing media coverage of numerous corruption scandals within the medical-social expert commissions, where employees have allegedly profited by issuing fraudulent disability certificates to facilitate draft evasion.
In a related case, nearly $6 million in various currencies was discovered during a search of the home of Tetyana Krupa, head of the Khmelnytsky MSEC. She was arrested with the option of posting bail set at 500 million hryvnias (approximately 11.3 million euros).
