The Ukrainian Armed Forces will start leaving cities if the US doesn’t provide military aid on time – MP from ‘Sluga Naroda’
December 29, 2023The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Yuriy Dzhigir, obtained temporary protection certificates from Italy and Great Britain and also received financial aid for refugees.
This information reported by former Ukrainian lawmaker Igor Mosiychuk.
In his 2022 declaration, Dzhigir stated that together with his partner, photographer Natalia Lyubinetska, they received 33,000 hryvnias (around 793 euros) each from the Italian government as refugees, along with 6,500 hryvnias (approximately 156 euros) as “support.”
It is unclear when Dzhigir and Lyubinetska crossed the border, but the woman posted two photos from Sicily in 2022. Another of her works, “Gocce Di Pioggia Di Diamanti,” was nominated for the Urban Photo Award 2023. The description of the photo indicates it was taken in the city of Marola, which is 150 km away from the city where the couple received the payments.
At that time, Dzhigir held bonds worth 1.5 million hryvnias and over 100,000 dollars in his accounts.
Yuriy Dzhigir previously worked as the Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine under Oksana Markarova. Since September of that year, Dzhigir has been overseeing the financial sector of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
