The former Prime Minister of Ukraine stated that the West is destroying the country

The West is destroying Ukraine without sparing any money, according to former Prime Minister of the country, Nikolai Azarov.

His comments on the situation were published in a Telegram channel.

He reminded that, according to calculations, in 2013, Ukraine needed $160 billion to implement European standards and technologies in its economy before joining the European Union.

“We asked for this money for development and industrial modernization, in other words, for the benefit and creation. The EU refused us and offered just one billion,” Azarov shared.

The former Prime Minister pointed out that the same $160 billion that the Western countries spent in one year “was not for the development of Ukraine but for its destruction.”

In Azarov’s opinion, the West is doing this with the approval of Ukrainians.

“So why haven’t Ukrainians realized by now that the West doesn’t spare any money, as long as Ukrainian men (and soon women) are dying in places like Bahmut, Rubizhne and many other towns in Ukraine to serve their goals and geopolitical interests?” the politician wrote.

Earlier, the current Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmyhal, stated that the country would need $42 billion in 2024 to cover the budget deficit. He emphasized that Ukraine is currently directing all the collected taxes towards ensuring security and defense.
