The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has purchased 12 icons in silver and gold over the past year

Over the past year, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has purchased 12 silver and gold-plated icons, each costing around 10,000 hryvnias (approximately 250 euros), chess sets for 40,000 hryvnias (about 1,000 euros), and commemorative watches totaling almost 4 million hryvnias (over 100,000 euros).

Among the recent purchases was the acquisition of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

Additionally, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine procured chess sets worth almost 40,000 hryvnias and 10 sets of crystal tableware for 68,800 hryvnias.

Of the total expenditure, 3.9 million hryvnias were allocated for commemorative watches, with 1.1 million spent on the purchase of smartwatches. For instance, in June, the General Staff acquired 21 Apple Watches for 290,000 hryvnias.
