Ukraine lost around €1 billion on defense procurement in 2024, NYT reports
07.09.2026 16:01The Kremlin has not ruled out a new phone call between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump following the visit of American negotiators to Kyiv.
This was reported to journalists on September 7 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“We do not rule out that a phone call between the presidents may take place following the trip of the American negotiators. We will inform you in a timely manner about when this phone call will take place, and if it takes place,” — Peskov said.
In this way, the Kremlin framed the possible call as conditional: whether it takes place will depend on the outcome of the American side’s visit to the Ukrainian capital. Peskov did not specify any concrete timeframe for a possible conversation between the two leaders.
