The Kremlin rejects the idea of Western peacekeepers being present in Ukraine

Moscow rejects the idea of deploying European peacekeepers in Ukraine and will not allow NATO infrastructure to be established in the country.

This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov in an interview with ABC News.

“We cannot allow NATO military infrastructure to be located so close to our borders,” Peskov said.

It is worth noting that during yesterday’s meeting in Kyiv, members of the so-called “coalition of the willing” stated that the deployment of peacekeepers is under discussion. However, both Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron indicated that the matter has not yet been decided and much will depend on negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow.
