The military personnel who shot the police officer in the Vinnytsia region were transporting ammunition and grenades, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The soldiers who shot a policeman during a vehicle inspection in the Vinnytsia region were transporting ammunition and grenades.

This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Klymenko.

After the murder, they disposed of the ammunition in the water.

“They were transporting ammunition, grenades. They have already indicated where the dumped grenades in crates are located in the water reservoir. Currently, forensic experts, investigators, and divers are working at the scene. As for the weapon from which our policeman was shot, at the moment we understand where this pistol is. The murder weapon has already been confiscated,” said Igor Klymenko.

Today, in the city of Bershad in the Vinnytsia region, they bid farewell to the policeman Maxim Zaretsky, who was shot by soldiers during an attempted vehicle inspection.

A day of mourning was declared in the city today.

Recall that over the weekend, soldiers who shot policemen at a checkpoint in the Vinnytsia region were detained.
