17.05.2024 13:15The electronic portal for conscripts is set to launch starting tomorrow, coinciding with the implementation of the law on mobilization tightening. The portal will initially operate with limited functionality, but individuals will be able to update their personal data.
This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Dmitry Lazutkin.
“Additional options will be available in the electronic portal in the future. Currently, it will be possible to update personal data, primarily focusing on email, phone number and place of residence,” stated Lazutkin.
As a reminder, starting from May 18, 2024, the stricter law on mobilization will come into force. It mandates that all Ukrainian men aged 18-60 must update their personal data within 60 days at Territorial Centers for Administrative Services, service centers or online via the electronic portal for conscripts. This requirement applies to men both within Ukraine and abroad.
Additionally, men are required to carry their military identification document and present it upon request at service centers and by the police.
Those who ignore this requirement face significant fines outlined in draft law No. 10379 “On Amending the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine to Enhance Responsibility for Military Offenses.” While the law has not yet been signed by the president, it is expected that President Zelensky will do so before May 18, and then the document will come into force.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense announced that the electronic registry of conscripts will note the issuance of military call-up notices to individuals.
