‘We have the legal right’: Companies Glovo and Favbet commented on the cancellation of reservations for their employees

Companies Glovo and Favbet have commented on the cancellation of the controversial reservations for their employees.

Glovo stated that they legally obtained the status of a critically important enterprise based on several criteria, including the amount of taxes paid and intended to reserve 10 employees out of 108. These employees are not couriers—they are self-employed.

Favbet also stated that they obtained the right to reservations legally, and it does not concern the operation of online casinos. They aimed to reserve 15 employees from their IT department, Favbet Tech, who are involved in the war effort.

“From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Favbet Tech has been part of the Ukrainian cyber forces, and the most qualified company employees are currently engaged in developing technologies to enhance our country’s defense capabilities. Since 2024, the company has also been a partner of an engineering school that trains military personnel in assembling, programming and maintaining FPV drones for combat missions,” the company stated.
