15.05.2024 - 09:01According to a new law on mobilization, businesses will now be required not only to keep military records but also to ensure the delivery of military conscription notices to their employees.
This is reported by the “Judicial and Legal Gazette.”
The law, which comes into force on May 18, will legislatively establish the concept of “notification.” Enterprises, institutions and organizations will be obliged not only to maintain military records of conscripts (the procedure for which is also specified by the law) but also to ensure their “notification,” which includes delivering conscription notices. At the request of territorial recruitment centers, companies must inform their employees of the call-up and ensure their timely arrival.
It will also be necessary to annually submit to the territorial recruitment center lists of employees subject to military registration. Furthermore, when conscripts are hired or dismissed, companies must notify the territorial recruitment center within a week.
Businesses violating these rules will face fines of up to 59,500 hryvnias.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian businesses are concerned about personnel issues after May 18, when the law on mobilization tightening comes into force. Problems exist even for those enterprises that have been granted the right to reserve employees.
