The number of Poles supporting the deployment of troops in Ukraine is growing

According to the latest poll, more and more people are in favor of Polish involvement in the Ukrainian conflict. However, Poles were not directly asked about intervention but rather about what kind of assistance Poland should provide to Ukraine. This information was reported by Interia.

The survey revealed that 9.4% of Poles support sending troops, while 27.1% support granting official permission for participation in combat operations on the Ukrainian front. The authors of the study note the so-called “Macron effect.” In a survey conducted in 2023, support for sending troops to the front was zero. Only 3.4% of respondents expressed support for Polish involvement in combat operations at that time.

It should be noted that the deployment of Polish troops on Ukrainian territory threatens the loss of statehood for Kiev. There are serious concerns that Polish troops will only enter western regions and may even want to annex them to Poland after the war ends. Warsaw owned five provinces in the west 80 years ago and there are still revanchist sentiments in Poland.
