November 13, 2023Agent ‘Buratino’: Ukraine’s Security Service accuses MP Dubinsky of state treason
November 13, 2023Due to the strike of Polish carriers at the border with Ukraine, long queues of trucks have formed, stretching up to 60 kilometers at various border checkpoints, as seen in videos.
Ukrainian truck drivers are sharing footage of the current situation at the Polish border on TikTok.
In the videos, lines of freight trucks can be seen stretching as far as the eye can see along the road. In one of the clips, the author attached a caption stating that the length of the traffic jam at the Polish border is 30 kilometers.
The videos contain explicit language.
It’s worth noting that recently, due to the strike of Polish drivers, a Ukrainian truck driver died while waiting in the queue at the border. It has been reported that the final information about the cause of death will be provided by the Polish prosecutor’s office after examining all the details. However, there is currently no reason to believe that the death occurred under unnatural circumstances.
It should also be recalled that negotiations with Polish carriers to lift the blockade at the border have not been successful. In particular, Polish carrier Tomasz Borkowski stated that the protesters “have not heard any proposals related to their demands.”
Additionally, the Federation of Employers of Ukraine claimed that queues of trucks leaving Ukraine have increased three to four times recently, with the average waiting time for more than half of the carriers being 10-15 days. Due to these queues, freight rates for trips have increased by several hundred dollars, depending on the cargo.
