MP Dubinsky called the state treason case fabricated and stated that the investigation materials are based on empty claims
November 13, 2023The Security Service of Ukraine has officially announced the suspicion of high treason for Ukrainian Member of Parliament Alexander Dubinsky.
He is accused of engaging in information subversion activities in favor of the Russian Federation.
This information is reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigations of Ukraine.
“According to the investigation, he used the call sign ‘Buratino’ and was a member of a criminal organization formed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia. The main task of this organization was to destabilize the socio-political situation in Ukraine and discredit our state on the international stage. The participants of the group received money from the military intelligence of Russia,” the statement from the Security Service of Ukraine reads.
It is claimed that Dubinsky spread fake information about the leadership of Ukraine, including publishing “Derkach tapes” about Kyiv’s influence on the U.S. presidential elections in 2019.
Derkach himself is also referred to as a member of this “agent network,” which, according to the Security Service of Ukraine, was allocated more than 10 million dollars by Russia. The group was allegedly led by the Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Alexey Savin. The investigation suggests that former prosecutor Konstantin Kulik, with the call sign “Ptichka,” was also part of this group.
In Ukraine, the Security Service claims that this network was supervised by former assistant to Derkach and former employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the USSR, Igor Kolesnikov, who has already been convicted and is serving a sentence for treason.
