In Poland, a Ukrainian truck driver died in front of a border crossing point

On Saturday, November 11, a Ukrainian truck driver died in his truck near the “Dorohusk – Yahodyn” checkpoint. This incident occurred in Poland, in the parking lot of the city of Helm.

The information was provided by the Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, Sergey Derkach.

“The final information on the causes of death will be provided by the Polish prosecutor’s office after studying all the details. However, there is currently no reason to believe that the death occurred due to unnatural causes,” Derkach noted.

He reported that the 54-year-old man arrived at the parking lot and remained there to await crossing the border. After Polish truck drivers started blocking Ukrainian checkpoints, the queues at the border for trucks stretched for several days.

To recall, starting from November 6, Polish carriers, as announced, blocked the movement of freight vehicles at the border with Ukraine.
