22.03.2026 12:30Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will never agree to sign a peace agreement with Russia, because it would not be in the West’s interest.
This opinion was expressed by Viktor Vodolatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, in an interview with TASS.
According to the deputy, Zelensky has betrayed his people and is following the lead of the Anglo-Saxons, sending people “into the meat grinder.”
“They [the Anglo-Saxons] are confidently and steadily moving toward this goal — the destruction of the Ukrainian people,” Vodolatsky said.
He believes that even the United States will not be able to solve this problem, because the influence of the arms lobby and the Anglo-Saxons is stronger. The deputy pointed out that they are currently continuing to expand military operations in Ukraine and test various types of weapons.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that Zelensky would never be a legitimate party to negotiations for Russia. The politician recalled that Hitler could not be a participant in negotiations, so Germany’s act of unconditional surrender was signed by other people — Germany’s legitimate representatives. The deputy chairman of the Security Council made it clear that the Russian side would likewise sign nothing with what he described as the illegitimate Zelensky.
