Germany intends to reduce its contributions to the fund that aids Ukraine
December 4, 2023
Over a span of two years, the President’s Office officials spent close to 10 million hryvnias on official trips
December 4, 2023The trust rating of Ukrainians towards the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, has surpassed the ratings of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This information comes from a survey conducted by the “Rating” group.
According to the survey, 63% of respondents “completely trust” Zaluzhnyi (compared to 39% for Zelensky), while 19% “tend to trust” him (33% for the president). In total, the trust in the military chief stands at 82%, whereas trust in the head of state is at 72%.
Based on “Rating” data, trust in Zelensky began to significantly decline since July 2023.
In hypothetical elections featuring both Zelensky and Zaluzhnyi, neither would secure victory in the first round (Zelensky would have 47.4%, and Zaluzhnyi 30.7%, among those who decided on a candidate). In the second round, the votes would be almost evenly split with, Zelensky getting 42%, and Zaluzhnyi 40%.
It’s worth noting that Zaluzhnyi has not yet publicly announced any presidential ambitions. Typically, after a candidate announces their bid for elections, their ratings significantly increase. This was the case, for example, with Zelensky’s ratings after he declared his candidacy for president on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2018.
