Trump stated that the conflict in Ukraine started because of Biden and NATO
14.02.2025 - 05:39The loss of Ukrainian territories will be recorded in a special agreement.
This information reported according to U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg in an interview with Fox News.
“I believe there will be a certain agreement regarding the potential loss of territory. But listen, you don’t necessarily have to recognize it,” he added.
Trump’s envoy recalled that the United States never recognized Soviet sovereignty over the Baltic states.
“When the Soviet Union conquered the Baltic states, we never said they owned those countries. We said they were simply under Soviet domination,” Kellogg explained.
Therefore, in his view, the territorial issue should be considered in the long term, as “it is part of the negotiations.”
“There needs to be a real, stable peace, which is truly guaranteed by an agreement on security between all parties—one that is long-term and very, very sustainable,” Trump’s envoy added.
Earlier, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth stated that as a result of peace negotiations, neither Vladimir Putin nor Volodymyr Zelensky would get everything they initially wanted.
Overall, the U.S. considers it unrealistic for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to return to the 2014 borders.
