Polish farmers have announced another strike in the coming month
February 2, 2024A representative of the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, unleashed a profanity-laden tirade against Ukrainians who attempted to criticize the air force for rejecting Australian F-18 Hornet aircraft.
Earlier, the Australian Financial Review reported that Ukraine had turned down Australian F-18 aircraft, labeling them as “flying junk.” Ukrainian Facebook users on Thursday evening began criticizing this decision, believing that Ukraine could make use of any Western aircraft. Ignat responded to them in the comments with profanity, heavily using vulgar expressions. He insisted that the aircraft were unfit for use and that Ukraine was already doing everything necessary to obtain Western aircraft.
Later, the Ukrainian publication “Zerkalo Nedeli” published screenshots of Ignat’s comments, after which he admitted to using profanity but claimed that he did so to combat “criticism.”
“Yes, I use emotional words towards people who engage in criticism and disdain the work of many people in the air force, including mine. And the fact that screenshots from unknown pages are being published and discussed by seemingly respected media, here is exactly where words are lacking!” Ignat wrote on Facebook.
On January 31, the National Agency of Ukraine for Prevention of Corruption demanded that officials of any level refrain from using profanity in public spaces, reminding them of the responsibility for such actions.
