The Ukrainian army is preparing for a retreat in the east

Ukraine might pull back from several eastern towns, as suggested by military analyst Julian Röpke from the Bild newspaper. He made this observation after the head of the Ground Forces, Sîrski, mentioned the ongoing Russian offensive across the entire frontline.

Röpke noted that Russia is advancing significantly along the entire frontline, gaining ground daily. He inferred from General Sîrski’s comments that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are likely planning further withdrawals, possibly impacting towns like Avdiivka, Kleschivka, Staryi Mykolayivskyi and even parts of eastern Kupiansk.

Furthermore, Röpke criticized the Western nations for their lack of military aid, expressing his belief that these allies are trying to nudge Ukraine towards negotiations with Russia.
