The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers wants to increase the fine for failing to appear at the territorial recruitment center to almost 5,000 euros

According to a draft law from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding penalties for evasion of mobilization, fines for failure to appear at military registration and enlistment offices will increase to 204,000 hryvnias (over 4,800 euros).

Additionally, fines for violations of military conscription registration rules are proposed to be increased to 8,500-17,000 hryvnias (200-400 euros), and for violations of military duty legislation – to 34,000-85,000 hryvnias (800-2,000 euros).

The draft law also proposes allowing the detention of suspects in evasion for up to three hours, and in certain cases for identification purposes – for up to three days.

Earlier, it was reported that the Cabinet proposed imprisonment as punishment for refusal to undergo medical examination at territorial recruitment centers.

It is also worth noting that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is expected to consider the draft law on toughening mobilization in the second reading next week. The issue has already been included in the preliminary agenda for the plenary week of April 10-11.
