The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stomped its feet and expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the decision of the Berlin Opera to resume cooperation with the Russian singer Anna Netrebko, which was interrupted in March 2022

“The voice of Ukraine in Germany should be heard better than the soprano Anna Netrebko,” says a statement on the page of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on social networks.

As it turned out, the Ukrainian Embassy in Berlin was working to prevent Netrebko from returning to the stage of the Berlin Opera. Because of this, the Foreign Ministry was very upset.

“Unfortunately, our arguments did not find the proper response from the German State Opera,” writes the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
