Zelensky stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are facing a shortage of military equipment
October 11, 2024The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has denied “claims made by several foreign media outlets” regarding Ukraine’s alleged readiness to freeze the war along the front line in exchange for an invitation to NATO or security guarantees.
This was stated on the ministry’s website.
“The only realistic path to restoring a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace for Ukraine has always been and remains the Peace Formula, based on respect for the UN Charter and the imperative of fully restoring Ukraine’s territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders,” the statement reads.
It also emphasized that Ukraine will not accept agreements made without its involvement.
Moscow also commented on Western media reports about the possibility of halting the war along the front line in exchange for granting Ukraine NATO membership.
“No serious proposals for resolving the Ukrainian conflict have been received so far, and reports on this topic pop up in Western media ‘like a jack-in-the-box.’ It’s not worth paying attention to them,” said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
It is worth noting that just yesterday, the Office of the President of Ukraine also denied media reports claiming that President Volodymyr Zelensky was ready to freeze the war along the front line in exchange for security guarantees.
