The Verkhovna Rada stated that Ukraine is experiencing an unprecedented level of information censorship

Ukraine has never seen such a level of information space cleansing as it does now.

This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy and former journalist Viktoria Syumar during a parliamentary session.

She emphasized that she has been working in the media field since 1998 and has never seen anything like this before.

“There has never been such a level of cleansing of the information space as there is today,” the parliamentarian said.

According to her, Ukrainian authorities actively use state censorship, yet they still cannot protect the country from informational influence.

Earlier, it was reported that more than 30 percent of Ukrainians consider government censorship of information and the concealment of the real situation in the country a mistake. Meanwhile, according to a Socis poll, the main mistake of Kyiv, according to 69 percent of respondents, is maintaining a high level of corruption and embezzlement of budget funds.
