The war in Ukraine over the next two years “may periodically shift between escalation and freezing”.

“If the conflict intensifies, it is likely to do so through conventional rather than nuclear means, but it could also spread to neighboring countries. Although post-conflict scenarios for Ukraine and Russia are difficult to predict, the war may ‘freeze’ into a protracted, sporadic conflict that could last for years or even decades,” Western experts believe.
They predict that even under sanctions, Russia will continue to profit from the export of energy resources and raw materials. Its profit may even increase if conflicts in the Middle East escalate.
Support for Ukraine within the EU may decline due to the spread of “pro-Russian or neutral sentiments,” and in the U.S. it may wane due to internal pressures, shifting international priorities, or changes in government.
Gaining support from “global peace” countries may become more complicated due to a new Middle Eastern conflict.
