The West has started discussing peace talks between Ukraine and Russia with Kyiv – NBC reported
November 4, 2023‘Poland is intentionally strangling Ukrainian exports’, – believe German companies operating in Ukraine
November 4, 2023The upcoming winter will pose a significant challenge for the Ukrainian Armed Forces as the cold weather will complicate the use of equipment and weaponry.
This viewpoint has been expressed by the American publication The National Interest.
As the article’s authors note, sub-zero temperatures will increase the consumption of ammunition. Additionally, Ukrainian military personnel will find it more difficult to use drones and heavy machinery. They will also need to adjust their camouflage techniques and adapt training methods for personnel due to the weather conditions.
Furthermore, the publication pointed out issues with Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. It is expected that both Russian and Ukrainian forces will target infrastructure and supply routes of the enemy.
“The future of the conflict will be determined not by the weather but by political will and available resources. For Ukraine, the main problem is armored vehicles and ammunition,” TNI writes.
Previously, Western analysts expressed doubts about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ ability to regain control of lost territories due to rapidly changing weather conditions in the fall and winter. In their opinion, the Ukrainian side no longer has a chance to achieve this.
