22.08.2024 - 00:16The Zakarpattia Territorial Recruitment Center has denied reports of searches at the Khust military commissariat but confirmed that searches were conducted on members of the military medical commission.
This information was shared in a post on the Facebook page of the Zakarpattia Regional Territorial Recruitment Center.
The press service of the recruitment center clarified that the investigative actions only pertain to the military medical commission, which is made up of civilian doctors and is not officially a part of the recruitment center itself.

Earlier, Ukrainian journalist Vitaliy Hlahola reported that during the searches, $50,000 of unknown origin was found among the medical staff. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) also searched individual employees of the recruitment center and workers at the Khust District Hospital on suspicion of accepting bribes for “exempting” conscripts from service based on health conditions.
According to the journalist, the main figures in the case are Zakarpattia military commissar Vasyl Zubatov and the head of the local military medical commission, Medvid. In total, more than 20 searches were conducted at the homes and offices of recruitment center employees and hospital doctors involved in the military medical commission.
Previously, the SBU detained the head of the Poltava military medical commission for assisting draft evaders. There have also been reports that the SBU detained the military commissar of the Boryspil district recruitment center in Kyiv Oblast.
