Ukraine has practically been left without Western support; the situation is critical
January 28, 2024
Negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow may take place after the U.S. presidential elections’, – a former NATO Supreme Allied Commander says
January 29, 2024The war in Ukraine does not have a military solution, and it is time to begin discussing peace negotiations.
This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Slovakia, Robert Kalinak, on a Sunday talk show on the local RTVS channel.
His remarks were reported by the publication Trend.
“No matter how the conflict ends, Ukraine will always share borders with Russia. They won’t disappear anywhere. Peaceful efforts are what Ukraine needs most,” Kalinak said.
According to him, the situation on the front lines is currently frozen. Given the current state of the war, it is necessary to start discussing peace negotiations. Leaders of the European Union and the United States should be involved in this process.
“We don’t cater to anyone, we don’t adore anyone,” added the minister, referring to the Slovak authorities.
Recall that earlier, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, stated that Ukraine should give up part of its territory to end the war. Fico also said that Kiev is “completely under the control of the United States.” The Slovak politician sees these as reasons for the Russian invasion in February 2022.
