20.03.2025 - 10:34U.S. President Donald Trump presses the “red button” during an interview with Fox News journalist Laura Ingraham in the Oval Office.
Fox News published the video on social media platform X.
“It’s right here. Everyone thinks it’s nuclear. They say that if I press it, the world will end,” Trump said before pressing the button.
Previously, media reports indicated that this is the Diet Coke button, which, when pressed, summons an aide to bring the president a Coke. Trump first introduced it during his initial term in office. Former President Joe Biden removed it, but Trump has now reinstated it.
It is worth noting that during a briefing at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, a journalist accidentally hit Trump’s face with a microphone. The president joked that the reporter had just “made it onto television.”
