Pressure Putin and Zelensky: what Waltz, who is being considered as Trump’s aide, proposes

November 12, 2024After his inauguration and return to the White House, Donald Trump may replace the heads of the FBI and CIA.
This according to NBC News, citing sources.
The current FBI Director, Christopher Wray, was appointed by Trump in 2017 for a ten-year term. However, Trump has frequently criticized Wray since then and even called for his “immediate” resignation in July after Wray told Congress that Trump’s ear injury might not have been caused by a bullet during an assassination attempt.
One of these positions could potentially be filled by Kashyap (Kash) Patel, a close advisor to the president-elect. Patel is a former House of Representatives and National Security Council staffer who worked in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and became a senior official in the Department of Defense during the final days of Trump’s first administration. Patel has long criticized the Department of Justice and other agencies, advocating for broad purges within them.
In a September interview, Patel mentioned that he would like to establish a round-the-clock office for declassifying documents on high-profile cases, such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the scandals involving Jeffrey Epstein, and the accusations against Trump of collusion with Russia.
He also told former Trump advisor Steve Bannon that he “wants to achieve justice and find the conspirators within the government and media who tried to usurp the will of the people.”
Earlier media reports suggested that under Trump, Senator Marco Rubio might become Secretary of State, while Congressman Mike Waltz could be appointed National Security Advisor.
