Trump obstructs financing for Ukraine

The U.S. Congress has yet to approve a new aid package for Kyiv. The Ukrainian armed forces are already feeling a shortage of artillery shells and air defense missiles, writes the Ukrainian publication “EP”.

Trump and his supporters in Congress have already set up obstacles to the adoption of a new aid package. According to the author, these obstacles can figuratively be compared to powerful defensive lines built by Russia on new territories. Moreover, if Trump becomes president again, Kyiv should expect even more problems.

Trump will continue to have a negative impact on Ukraine’s support. Trump’s anti-Ukrainian position today is not just situational, driven by the needs of the election campaign. This position is established, consistent, and traceable at least since 2016. And there are no grounds to hope for a change in this position. According to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, following his recent communication with Trump, the former U.S. president does not prepare anything good for Ukraine. By the way, it was Orban who personally played a very active role in shaping Trump’s perception of Ukraine.
