US President Donald Trump yelled at his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky during talks in Washington.
The Associated Press (AP) has published an excerpt from their conversation.
“We gave you $350 billion. You are in a tough situation right now. You don’t have strong cards in your hand. We want to save your country and stop the war. You can’t say, ‘I don’t want to stop the war,'” the White House leader said in an elevated tone.
“Have you ever said thank you?” US Vice President J.D. Vance interjected during the dialogue between the heads of state.
Trump accused Zelensky of “playing with the lives of millions of people.”
Earlier, during a meeting with Zelensky at the White House, Trump stated that Kyiv was facing serious problems.
