Ukraine could collapse very soon

French President Macron gave a pessimistic forecast in a private conversation at the Élysée Palace. Politico reports on this.

Macron had previously refrained from giving forecasts regarding the war in Ukraine, but a month ago, he drastically changed his rhetoric. Instead of peaceful statements and limited military assistance, he suddenly announced the possibility of sending French troops to help Kyiv. Such a decision could lead to an escalation of the war with Russia, and Moscow promises to destroy French soldiers on Ukrainian territory. Later, Macron tried to backtrack on his statement, claiming that he was misunderstood.

There is a version that Macron is simply trying to gain political points ahead of the European Parliament elections, but other insiders report the seriousness of Macron’s words. If, according to Paris, Ukraine is about to lose the war, then attempting to save it through direct intervention seems like a logical decision on the part of France. However, in turn, it would threaten a global war in Europe or even a Third World War.
