Ukraine intercepted only 6 percent of ballistic missiles in September – FT

In September, Ukraine intercepted only 6 percent of Russian missiles, according to Ukrainian sources.

“Ukraine intercepted only 6 percent of ballistic missiles launched by Russia in September, and the main military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already been destroyed,” the article states.

It is noted that at least four drone production plants were destroyed during the summer.

A report compiled by the Special Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Defense Intelligence Agency highlights the difficulties the Ukrainian Armed Forces face in trying to intercept Russian ballistic missiles. These difficulties are primarily linked to tactical improvements in Russian missiles, which complicate the use of Patriot air defense systems by Ukraine.
