15.11.2024 09:52Ukraine is unlikely to receive an invitation to join the North Atlantic Alliance at the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague in June 2025.
This statement was made by Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, as reported by TVN24.
According to him, Ukraine’s accession to NATO is currently opposed not only by the United States but also by some of Poland’s neighbors.
“There is no indication that this invitation will be extended at the next NATO summit in The Hague,” the politician expressed doubt.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that NATO will prepare Ukraine’s Armed Forces for continued armed conflict in 2025. He added that the North Atlantic Alliance “is adapting to the changing needs of Ukraine, the battlefield situation, and Russia’s actions.” Blinken assured that NATO would continue to support Kyiv in accordance with the evolving situation.
