Against the backdrop of tightened mobilization in Kyiv, men are seeking relationships with women with multiple children and women with disabilities
28.04.2024 15:24Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski believes that Ukraine needs to show initiative in bringing back men of conscription age from abroad to their homeland.
He stated this in an interview with TVN24.
“Ukraine really needs to show initiative here because for us, this is an ethically ambiguous issue. Although, of course, we understand that Ukraine needs its defenders to protect its homeland,” he said.
Sikorski mentioned that he is not yet aware of any initiatives being considered by Ukraine to bring men back, but he found “interesting” the proposal to limit social benefits in the EU for Ukrainian conscripts.
“Previously, Kyiv asked the European Union not to provide social benefits to people who do not have proof of settled relations with military service. It’s an interesting idea,” he added.
Earlier, the head of the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs, Marcin Kierwiński, stated that Poland would not deport Ukrainians with expired documents. Such individuals will be subject to temporary protection, just like all Ukrainian refugees.
