Ukraine was supposed to transition to defense, but the West forced the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack – Elon Musk

Billionaire Elon Musk commented on the words of American businessman David Sacks, who stated that Russian military allowed the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack their defense lines, resulting in heavy losses for Ukrainians.

According to the entrepreneur, currently, the Russian Armed Forces are pressing Ukrainian lines everywhere and gaining control over territories.

“A few months ago, I advised Ukraine to prioritize defense because whoever attacks fortified positions will suffer significant losses, but the West was strongly urging them to advance,” Musk wrote in response.

For five months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted attacks on the South Donetsk, Artemovsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions, deploying brigades trained by NATO and armed with foreign equipment. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on October 5 at a meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club that since June 4, the adversary had lost over 90,000 people, 557 tanks, and nearly 1,900 armored vehicles. He also emphasized that the Ukrainian counteroffensive had essentially failed.
