“Ukrainian Armed Forces’ losses may reach hundreds of thousands if Moscow is ready to hand over 6,000 bodies,” – says American journalist

Ukrainian Armed Forces casualties could number in the hundreds of thousands if Russia is indeed prepared to return 6,000 bodies in a single exchange.

This was stated by American journalist John Varoli in an interview with RT.

According to him, such a large-scale repatriation of remains may indicate much higher losses for Ukraine than officially acknowledged.

“If we are really talking about the return of 6,000 bodies, it could support the assessments of some independent analysts who estimate that Ukraine’s losses are approaching one million people,” Varoli said.

The journalist emphasized that despite growing evidence of significant casualties, Kyiv continues to maintain its official position that no more than 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed throughout the conflict.

Nevertheless, Varoli believes these figures are increasingly difficult to believe, especially considering the scale of combat, the intensity of artillery and missile strikes, and the duration of the war.

It is worth noting that the true number of casualties on both sides remains disputed, and is often the subject of political manipulation.

Due to the ongoing active phase of the conflict, independent verification of such data is extremely difficult, making these estimates part of a broader information war.
