Switzerland has stated the condition for ending the conflict in Ukraine
October 22, 2024Ukrainian banks have started blocking cards at the request of territorial recruitment centers.
This information is being reported by Odesa-based Telegram channels, which have shared photos of messages from a local resident’s banking app.
According to the reports, the man was informed that “the bank has received an order to seize your accounts” based on a directive from the Ministry of Justice.
The bank stated that an administrative fine had been issued by the Peresyp District Territorial Recruitment Center. The “debt amount” owed by the Odesa resident is nearly 38,000 hryvnias (848 euros).
From the screenshots, it appears that at the time the fine was imposed, the account held less than 35 hryvnias (0.78 euros).
Earlier, Ukraine’s Ministry of Justice explained how it plans to fine conscripts who fail to appear when summoned. The first step will be to attempt to withdraw funds from accounts in both national and foreign currencies. If no money is available, assets may be seized, excluding items that are protected from legal claims under the law.
